2014 Acting Head Coach: Keene State Men's and Women's Cross-Country This season has been an incredible learning experience and test of my knowledge and abilities of my sport as well as my leadership.
I was asked to take on the role of Acting Head Coach after just three days of pre-season. The confidence that the administration, the team, and the alumni had in me I believe helped get our season off the ground. The theme of the season has been focus and train with the end in mind. In my initial talk with the team I preached that we need to work together to stay focused because our schedule doesn't change. We need to continue to do what we came here to do.
Since then, we have clocked miles, crushed workouts, and have continued to race one stride at a time.
In the face of adversity, the men's and women's cross-country teams have both had low points and high points but they have been able to truly come together as one. I am proud of these athletes for understanding the importance of TEAM and for their continued support for one another as well as their trust and appreciation for the coaching staff.
