Floor Hockey
Floor Hockey is an excellent team activity that is taught most appropriately in the winter. Skills such as dribbling (tap, drag, windshield wiper), passing, and shooting carry over well from Field Hockey that students learn in the fall.
In Floor Hockey we put emphasis on safety, awareness, and self-control. It's important to discuss the differences between HOCKEY and Floor Hockey. Safety Rules: -Goalie crease (shoot outside from/no one is allowed in) -Goalie wears protective eye wear -Sticks must stay below the knee (follow through/back swing) -"Three's a party" If two people are already going after it, that's enough. -May only shoot from inside three-point-land / on attacking half |
