Planning and Implementation
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with local, state, and national standards to address the diverse needs of all students.
When planning it is important to be aware of the diversity among students and plan various activities that are appropriate and meet their needs while aligning with the governing standards.
I start planning the same way I conclude my planning. I start by looking at the big picture of what I want accomplished from the unit. I take the time and create objectives that correlate with my ideas and set attainable goals for my students . I then create lessons and activities that help students progress to meet the objectives. Finally I review and look at the big picture, asking myself “will my unit be successful?” or “will my students be successful?” It is important in all aspects to plan success into the big picture.

Here are examples of my lesson planning notebook from both of my student teaching sites. I use these notebooks to stay organized and to reflect on my lessons.
