Gatorade Students of the Week (GSW)
At South Meadow, every Friday or at the end of a unit I select a GSW. I recognize a student that throughout the week was always prepared, came with a positive attitude, did not need any behavioral reminders, cooperated with others, put forth good effort, exemplified good sportsmanship, and showed leadership qualities or acts of good character.
Once recognized, students get their picture up on the wall for the rest of the quarter of Phys. Ed. as well as a Low Calorie* Gatorade. |
Doing Gatorade Student of the Week contributes towards both my building goal's and personal goals related to my professional development plan.
It applies to the above goals because students are recognized for exemplifying positive behavior and their contribution to class. By doing this, it puts emphasis on the characteristics pictured above and motivates students to work towards the overall goal of caring, cooperative, and respectful. |
